I was desperately to have a home water filtration system

by Denise
(Los Angeles, California)

I desperately want a home water filtration system and have endeavored on a task that has showed no success yet. I am unable to afford the many alternatives out there but want something for my water.

I currently own a PPM (Parts Per Million) water tester. We received this with a filtration system that was called "Zero Water" and it was literally filtered clear all the way down to zero parts per million in our water.

You could taste the difference in the water and quality. I have tested bottled water and it's levels with my water tester. I have children and the health of the water is extremely important to me. We purchased a PUR water filter from the company Proctor and Gamble.

When we installed it, our tap water read levels of 276 PPM. However, AFTER installing the PUR filter, the water level reached over 300. We are not using our PUR filter and contacted the company for questions, answers, and a full refund.

Brand-wise, Zero Water has been the best, however, the amount we paid for it was not realistic. They said the filters would last 3 to 5 months and the water was extremely good-tasting and the amount we were paying meant a big difference compared to bottled water and fancy machines to purchase.

However, the filters went "bad" after 3 to 4 weeks and the amount averaged out to $50 a month for pure and clean water. To cut this short, we have tried and have not found results in our "budget" and price range.

We have not yet resolved what to do with water filtration situation but continue to look for what best suits our needs and budget.
