You Can Be Part Of The Eco-friendly Crowd While Not Becoming Environmentally Irrational

The bottom line is that we should all be “Friends of the Earth.”  Living earth-friendly and eco-responsibly should not be a hard thing.  Each one of us can do it in a lot of different ways.

Eco-living does not mean we have to be outwardly environmental-nuts like some that drive their SUVs, and fly in gas-guzzling private jets but want the rest of us to drive these miniature vehicles so we can stop “global warming.”

Nearly every product now has a version named eco-friendly, environmentally-friendly, green, or organic.  Even though you agree that it is a good thing to do, you can’t seem to find any areas where you can help the environment.  The truth is most of these eco-friendly, green, or organic products are more expensive than their non environmentally-friendly alternatives.  Are we actually certain these so-called organic products are truly “organic”?  Well, I’ll leave that to others to judge.

Yes, you can do your part! . . .

One absolutely easy way is for you to change the way you drink water when you are on camping, hiking, or biking trips. Also, when you go to the gym, or even at home. How about bottling your own filtered or clean tap water? You will help the environment and save money at the same time.

Here are your options . . .

Glass water bottles – They will not harm the environment. Glass refillable water bottles do not contain BPA, a potentially dangerous chemical that can leach into your drinking water; this chemical can cause varieties of health problems such as cancer, infertility, Type II diabetes, and behavioral problems. Glass water bottles do not leach harmful chemicals into your water like plastic bottles.

Stainless steel water bottles – It’s an ideal way to save the environment and save money. They are reusable and portable; they are the go-anywhere solution to the waste of bottled water. Fill up your stainless steel water bottle with clean, clear, delicious filtered or tap water and send the message to everybody that you're doing your part to fight the environmental nightmare that is bottled water.

Bottle with filter--The filtered water bottle technology consists of a built-in filter cartridge that attaches to the cap of the bottle. The filter is capable of removing chlorine, bad taste and odor, as well as significant amounts of heavy metals such as lead, mercury and copper. You can take it to work or to the gym and it also fits great in bicycle racks and standard car cup holders! The bottle does everything for you. All you have to do is fill the bottle with water and drink.

It’s light weight and doesn’t require pumping, making it perfect for extended mountain biking around questionable water sources. Most of these water bottles with filters are made of safe plastics and are BPA free!

Eco-friendly water filters—with these filters you don't need to pump water through them during your camping or hiking trip. Sometimes filters requiring pumps may fail but with these types, you simply scoop water and pour through the eco-friendly filters. They can purify virtually any natural source of fresh water from rivers, lakes, streams and wells so you are always sure of healthy drinking water when you are away from home.  During emergencies like hurricane and power failures, they are easy to set up.  No moving parts and no electricity needed.

So, it’s easy to do your own part and you can do it responsibly.
