Installation cost and time should be the same since they are both installed at the water main. The bottom line is both Aquasana and Pelican filtration systems should be good to give high quality drinking water for your whole house. But your choice will depend on:

  1. how often you are willing to buy replacement filters;
  2. the gallons of water you intend use over a long period;
  3. initial amount you are willing to spend;
  4. if warranty matters.
For PC-1000 price comparison, you may visit Amazon.com. But it's less hassle if you buy the EQ-300 directly from Aquasana, the manufacturer, your cost may be the same anywhere.
